TownePlace Suites by Marriott Thunder Bay

TownePlace Suites are always hit and miss. You don't know if they will be upscale hotel or step above motel, I stayed here for 6 nights. The staff were amazing. The front desk fella who checked me in referred to me by name every time he saw me in over the week. People were plesent the breakfast staff seemed happy and chipper. My biggest complaints are The bedding... The pillows were the worst of any Marriot branded hotel I'd stayed at in years (I bounce between platinum(50nights/yr) and gold(25 n/y) membership). The blankets were thin and felt 1 size too small for the queen sized beds. The next was the failure to enforce the smoking section. They had a table outside the main door that guest gathered at to smoke in the morning about 20ft away from the smoking section. They need to make the smoking section more attractive so people will use it instead of making it so you need to walk through smokers to get into the building. The location was great, walking distance to restaurants, lots and lots of parking and a grocery store right beside, which is great when you've got all the amenities to make your own meals. I'll likely stay again, but if I'm driving I'll bring my own extra bedding

Perfect for a work trip. My room had ample desk space and a full kitchen. Very close to the courthouse, airport, and local food spots. They offer a simple breakfast from 6:30AM-10:30AM. My favourite thing was being able to get coffee or tea any time of the day or night in the lounge area near the lobby — free of charge. The pool is also nice after a long day of work. They have a little area by reception where you can purchase snacks, medication, etc., which is also helpful if nothing else is open.

Best place to stay in Thunder Bay! Rooms are really spacious, kitchen is fully equipped! Staff is very friendly and welcoming! Everything is walkable, grocery, food, etc! Plus the swimming pool, hot tub, gym & spacious lounge for quick meetings! To top it all, free breakfast!

Located within a short drive to the airport , friendly accommodating staff. Clean, big rooms with a small kitchenette. The gym is ok, lacking some equipment. Morning breakfast has lots of selection including oatmeal with 4 different toppings. Pretty good coffee to boot. A good hotel to consider when staying in Thunder Bay

We stayed in the suites and it was fantastic. Nice big room, super comfy bed, and all the amenities we needed. We especially appreciated being able to cook and relax in our room. The hotel was nice and clean, and the staff were amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at TownePlace Suites Thunder Bay and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the kitchenette was well-equipped. The location is also super convenient with close proximately to grocery stores and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

The experience at Delta Mariott was exceptional, absolutely lovely location and the staff will do everything they can to help make one’s stay as comfortable. Guest Services staff Zion Godfrey was amazingly helpful ….definitely the best person to contact for any last minute details or changes. Very clean, Keurig and complementary water comfortable bed with lovely bedding! A choice location for conferences in Thunder Bay !
